Having grown up in Manchester and 'requested' by my form teacher to leave school at 15, (he thought it might be better for the school!) I became an apprentice electrician. I was quite shocked to discover that God was interested in me, and loved me for who I was and became passionate about letting other know this good news.
I joined The Church Army in 1976 and have had a great time working in some amazing places and seeing people with no church background discovering that they 'really matter' to God. Having worked as a Parish evangelist, a youth worker, a trainer, a project development worker, a Youth Work Adviser and the manager of an outdoor centre I feel genuinely privileged to be called to encourage the Christian life and witness of Christchurch and St Mary's here in the Forest of Dean.
